The purpose of trim and lettering on Personal Protective Equipment is to provide day/night visibility and to quickly ID rescue personnel. Retroreflective and fluorescent trim is especially critical where visibility is minimal and confusion is maximum with large numbers of personnel from several departments on the scene. 3M SCOTCHLITE™ Triple Trim used on CONVERTIBLE™, EMSRESCUE™ and TECHRESCUE™ incorporates a center silver stripe impregnated into the trim. It is available with red/orange or lime/yellow borders offering high visibility for daytime visibility, fluorescence for low light visibility, and retroreflective properties for nighttime visibility.
